Some people don't like Mackie mixers, but this one has worked for me for over 7 years and has provided reliable and top quality service.

I'd buy another in a heartbeat.
Model Year: 1998
Price: $1900.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Sweetwater
Features:
24 Channels
24 Mic/Line input
24 direct recording outputs
24 channels inserts
24 channels Mix B input
24 channel LED meter bridge with analog VU summing bus metering
24 channels of 100mm faders
individaul mute/solo switching
2 talkback channels
8 Buss assignable from each channel
4 Band Parametric EQ
All balance I/O
Sound Quality:
Very warm analog circuitry with low noise preamps. The EQ section is pre/post switchable or you can switch the EQ sections completely out of the signal path. This is a very musical sounding mixing console.
Ease of Use:
The signal path is flexible both in terms of flexibilty and level matching. The direct recording out allows all 24 channels to be recorded simultaniously. The seperate Mix B section with seperate fader and pan functions allow playback fading without losing recoding level settings.
Durability:
I've used this mixer for both live and road use for 7 years without any incidents whatever. It is built like a tank.
