Good begniner guitar and a good beater.
Model Year: 2004
Price: $69.99 (new)
Where Obtained:
Not sure where it was made. Not sure of body wood. The neck is made from maple and rosewood fretboard.
22 frets nickle plated 6 strings
5 way pick up selecter. two tone and one volume control
s-s-h unknown brand
Gloss Black finish.
Strat style doublecut
Tremelo bridge
generic non-locking tuners
Initial set-up was high, but was able set set up a relatively low setup that I was looking for. The slim neck was a welcome change for fast blues lead playing. playability was good. the frets needed dressing. the guitar shipped without a tremelo bar.
Sound Quality:
Through a Behringer V-Tone and a V-Amp II, I could play some very good blues and rock tones. It had a full tone after a complete truss-rod adjustment. I was bought as a beater guitar to take aboard my ship for deployment. I suits this use well. I want to replace the tremelo unit and the pickups and to put in a splitted for the humbucker, to use it more seriously.
Was not bought for durability, the knobs needed to be replaced but it does a good job in staying in tune.
