Overall Rating:
I have two so I can use them as a stereo pair.

Pictures are pending
Model Year: 2004
Features:
Small diameter true condensor element
Cardiod pickup pattern 15 dB Pad switch
requires 48v phantom power
I use this to record acoustic guitar (12th fret position) and overhrads on drums.
Sound Quality:
THis is a non-interchangeable capsule version of the SM81, which was the go-to mic form decades in countless professional recording studios. Clear, crisp, natural sound with no hyped HF's.
Durability:
Shure makes mics to last a lifetime.
This one is built to last as well.
