The Black Album

by Metallica

Description A great album featuring Enter Sandman, The Unforgiven, Nothing Else Matters, and much more. Kirk rips some awesome solos on this album. Metallica's BEST!

While certainly their most commercially successful album of all time, it's not really their best. However, I think it's a very important milestone in metal. It fought against the new grunge music, and won. There are several videos that chronicled this time in Metallica's life, all of which I could watch over and over.

Highlights of this album for me include The Struggle Within and My Friend of Misery.

There is no doubt that this is an amazingly awesome record! However it is lacking some of the dirtier sound that made Metallica's older albums so great. Kirk Hammett is a crazy guitarist and as usual he lives up to his reputation with lots of roaring solos!

The Black Album is the best album of metallica and metal. I love metallica

This album to me marks another Metallica transition- although this is a pretty good album, it is downhill from here. The songs here display enough attitude and anger to fit into the MEtallica catalog, but the production is a lot "glossier" and distinctly un-Metallica like.
