Looked at a variety of different beginner guitars suggested by the store employee. Chose this one mainly for price. Probably would buy a "better" guitar if this one was lost. The sound could be better. This guitar is easy to play and cheap but durable (I've banged it up a couple of times, and it still looks pretty good).

20 frets; metal; 6 strings

string-thru body bridge style
Most of the time; easy to slide on, but bends are quite difficult. Bass strings could sound better.
Suitable for playing blues, rock/pop melodies, some classical pieces.
Sound is less full, more brassy. Sound has less body than most guitars.
It can sound a little noisy when strumming.
Better for stage because of volume.
Probably not reliable enough for steady live playing.
Needs to be adjusted every week or so.
Fares pretty well through climate changes.
