Rating:
So far, very pleased with the instrument. have had several complements from other musicians on the sound and playability
Model Year: 2004
Price: $1000.00 (new)
Where Obtained: guitar center
Features:
Standard CT4B tach preamp with build in tuner. Natural gloss finish to show the great wood in this guitar. solid rosewood back and solid cedar top. good details on hardware and bindings for this instrument
Playability:
Pretty fast neck although not as fast thin as some. action excellent. bridge setup keeps the instrument in tune. standard length neck.
Sound Quality:
I use both an old fender twin and a roland acoustic AC-60 (sweet). the cedar top give a very warm sound to the guitar. the only acoustic cedar top guitar that i have ever owned. it is a very different sound
Durability:
Seems reliable. i have only played this at a couple of jobs but i expect that it will hold up as well as my old takamine. i have the takamine martin d28 copy from the mid 1970's. there is not problem with staying in tune and the onboard tuner is great.
