I looked at many other full hollowbody guitars and nothing sounds as full as a gretch for the money. This guitar replaces a gretch anniversary from the late 50's that i played for years.
Model Year: 2003
Price: $2200.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Guitar Center
Single cutaway, full hollowbody, TV Jones classic pickups. pickup selector and master tone switch. master and individual pickup volumes
Plays great with flat wounds. i use the guitar primarily for jazz.
Sound Quality:
Use for jazz mainly. play with both a vox jazz and old fender twin. bass can be overpowering if not handled. very full sound. good for either jazz solo or rythm. w
I have had multiple gretch guitars over the years and they are known for not keeping tune for long periods of time. reacts to the slightest climate change for tuning. Neck seems to hold true even if strings need alot of adjustment.
