Overall Rating:
I would buy this guitar again. I was impressed by the sound and playability of the D-17.
Model Year: 2001
Where Obtained: Auction
Features:
Solid mahogany neck, the D-17 has 14 frets clear and 20 total.
Playability:
This instrument is a pleasure to play. I've owned Gibson and Ovation acoustics and I'm not disappointed in the action or ease of play the D-17 presents.
Sound Quality:
I play folk and country and I find the D-17 well suited for both. The mahogany body produces a warm full sound with distinct highs.
Durability:
The mahogany neck and body of the D-17 hold up extremely well in humid areas such as the Gulf states, USA.
