This is a very nice amplifier, I'm not sure they even make them anymore. I've always been impressed with Marshall Products, & this amp is no exception. It combines durability, versatility, & value for a killer combination. I use Marshall amplification exclusevely now, I couldn't see me playing anything else. Most people think of Rock & Roll when they hear the name Marshall, & they should; it is a true legend in that area. However, one should not forget the versatility that Marshall delivers.
Model Year: 1991
Price: $500.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Music Store
This amp features 2 channels, 1 for clean & 1 for distorted/clean sound. It is solid state, has channel switching via foots switch which came with the amp, headphone jack, line out, & effects loop. It has 2 12" Celestian speakers that sound incredible. Lots of nice features.
Sound Quality:
I play a Gibson Les Paul Custom for electric, a Washburn EA-20 electric acoustic, & a Washburn C64-CE electric nylon string. This amp is very versatile & well suited for a wide range of musical styles. The clean sound is just that: clean. The distorted sound is vintage Marshall, more of a pumping overdrive than actual distortion. This amp delivers in all areas for sound.
Ease of Use:
Very easy to use, user friendly. Everything is laid out nicely, adjustments are easily made.
I've owned this amp since 1991, & I have not had any trouble from it. It has been super durable, has held up after years of use.
