The action is good. It is very easily played. It plays as well as any Martin D-28 I have played. It sound good but not as good as a Martin.
I play mostly Bluegrass and country. I bought this dean for that very purpose. I wasnt in the market for another guitar until i played at the shop one day. No Mods to be considered. no noise at all. after the action was set it eliminated all buzzing. it amps up great but it is probably better as a studio instrument. I have played it in public though at bluegrass festivals and others like it also.
I have been playing this guitar for three yrs. and I play all the time. I generally only have to tune it when I change strings other than tweaking it if it gets bumped. The strap locks are solid. It has never come undone unless I wanted them to. Everything hardware wise is still as solid as when i Bought it. I played at a festival a year ago and it was raining. I did have to retune then. It had dropped a half note on all strings.
