Although my favorite recording is "before these crowded streets" this album has a mind of its own (like all of the other albums), it's neither ethnical-jazzy like "before these crowded streets", neither totaly groovy like "Crash", nore completly POP (in the worste sense) like "everyday". Maybe it's too much a kind of personal opinion but "under the table and dreaming" is the most complete in terms of feel with the same instrument configuration. Well, that's just me.

Perfect for evry mood and occasion, Dave Matthews Band's Album, Under The Table And Dreaming, is a mix of pop, jazz, and rock, that blends perfectly to appeals to high School students, college students, and older generations. As a student of Florida State University, Under The Table And Dreaming, along with Dave's other albums, are popular choices for parties. Dave Matthews Band's first album, will always be a personal favorite.

I am not a big fan of Dave Matthews, but I can't find much to complain about here-although it doesn't necessarily excite me, I appreciate his effort and the band's playing-I am thankful he broke away from grunge and wasn't the Backstreet Boys.

Totally agree! The DMB is simply one of the greatest things to happen to popular music in the 90s!

At the end of the day when all is said and done there's nothing better than a record with just great tunes and a great vibe. this record is like that. The songs are interesting, and Dave's acoustic playing is everything the songs need. the first two tunes Best of What's Around and What Would You Say are particularly funky, along with my favorite tune on the record, Jimi Thing
