This is a top shelf, custom instrument. I will be getting another!!!!!!!
Model Year: 1996
Price: $550.00 (new)
Where Obtained: The good deal god!!!
All american made, Swamp Ash body, maple 22 fret neck, pau ferro fret board. Three Tom Anderson Single coil pickups. 1 volume, one tone and a vintage voicing switch. Finished in a beautiful see-through blonde with a tortise shell pick guard. Tom Anderson trem.
Excellent playability. At fist I found the neck to be a little to "chunky" for my tastes. It's no shredding machine, but for the blues and funk it's my number one choice.
Sound Quality:
Noisless pickups. For a strat this is very nice. I run through a Boogie Nomad 55 on top of a Marshall 4x12. I wouldn't call it a metal guitar, but it can still pull it off. This guitar needs no modification. The vintage voicing takes a little bit of bite off of the singles, very nice. I would descibe the sound as "mellow spank".
Very reliable, getting beat on, like a tank. The workmanship is flawless. Surpasses my PRS.
