Even though he spent a lot of his professional life hanging out in France and plays no blues standards on this album, Luther manages to preserve a real delta feel on this all-acoustic album. There's a lot of good stuff here, especially because most of the songs are over 5 minutes long and have good long solos in them. A couple of the songs get a little too pop for my taste, but this is a real solid album on the whole. It makes me feel like I need to find myself an acoustic bass player.
