I looked at Takamine EAN series, Ovations, Hohner, Alvarez, etc. and still chose this model. I wouldn't change a thing on it. It's exactly what I was looking for. I've had it for a month now and the neck is starting to break in. It sounds sweeter and sweeter. I wish I could age the wood twenty years overnight, but I'll have to let time do that. Excellent guitar, well worth the money.

I was worried about the construction on this one, but my worries were for nil. It's basically the same as the Takamine model except for the active electronics. Personally, I hate changing batteries anyway.
Nice smooth action for an acoustic. This is the guitar every beginner should learn on. It's a little tough getting used to the acoustic strings after years of electric playing, but this guitar is better than most.
This thing has a deep, warm sound to it. Most of the guitars I tried when I got this one sounded too bright. Not this one. I looked inside it and I understand why it sounded so nice. It's got X bracing in it like the more expensive models.
Again, I was worried that the construction or materials might be lacking, but not so. Same construction and materials found on the more expensive models with the exception of the active EQ pickup.
