This record alone influenced countless others. Miles davis and the other musicians on the album work so well, I dont think its improvised but yet im not really sure if it is. But its a terrific album, theirs very mellow areas (track three and the last track, Flamenco Sketches). The real kicker on this album is "All Blues", which I think was covered a lot by other jazz bands. This album really fits its place in your daily life, whether your getting ready to go to work, or ready to go to bed after a hard day at work, this album fits with any mood. It doesn't overstimulate, yet it gets you into the musics' mood without irritating you. I dont have many jazz records, but if all of them are like this I'll buy all I can.
