Even though its three tracks, doesn't mean its very short. The tracks go about five minutes long each, and the last track changes several times. It has much of the same sound as "take the scenic route", but it has the edge of what would be "elixer Virtae'", so it is mostly scene as a bridge EP, maybe. This EP can be found on several websites, including Barnes and Noble dot com or amazon. It is worth the bucks, if you are a fan of Smashing Pumpkins, Pink Floyd, Mars Volta or Radiohead, or anything near those bands.
the link to their website should work, and if it does, you can hear some of their music and preview some vidoes of them on it. I advise you to do so. This Sacremento band is worth checking into, and everyone is saying they are the next big thing to hit.
They have released only one other EP, far before "Scenic Route" was around. It was five tracks, and it is now out of print. It is called "Incoming Flights, Outgoing strangers" If you dont mind going through some digging, you may find it somewhere. It is worth it, if you want to see early Owls and the beginning of their sound. The dark melodic track "Delilah" was my personal favorite from that EP.
This EP though, is much more diverse and has LFO really getting into their own sound in a much more complex, pop structure. It is beautiful and strong, with mexican horns coming in and out somethings through the ep, and keyboards and sounds all over the place too, the EP works. even if it is only three tracks.
