This is a good book to learn about how to play the blues,he breaks down a lot of the how to's about how they did things even with what type of sound to dial in. I am currently using this book right now and it has helped a whole lot in my playing.

Blues Guitar Classics by Wolf Marshall is an excellent resource to have at home. It includes a classic blues guitar axology (Gibsons, Fenders, etc.), as well as a section outlining the the basic building blocks of blues guitar. The book has tablature for all the songs found on the included CD. Blues Guitar Classics features the greats, such as Buddy Guy, Jimi Hendrix, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, Otis Rush, and many many more! A very good way to learn more about blues.
