Overall Rating:
One of the finer hand made guitars out there. Unfortunately Gurian's factory burned down many years ago and he never went back into major production again, as far as I know. If you find one at a good price, take a look, they are a fine instrument for live performance.
Model Year: 1973
Price: $500.00
Where Obtained: friend
Features:
Basic medium sized body acoustic. Mahogny sides on the M series, at least the one I own. Grover heads were standard. Adjustable neck.
Playability:
Over the years the action has got a little high, but a guitar tech could set it right, as the neck is adjustable.
Sound Quality:
Warm, bright sound. Well suited to finger picking.
Durability:
These guitars are often prized for live performance. I've rarely seen another. The only other one I've ever encountered was being played by Roy Forbes.
