Silky smooth bakelite covered tapered lead bar that I use with my pedal steel. Long out of production (last made in 1950) can only be aquired in the used market

This is my main tone bar. The bakelite coating assures a sweet tone from strings. The lead filling assures no interaction between the tone bar and the pickups. This has lasted 50+ years without adverse reactions. The only fault is that the lead will deform if it is dropped causing the bakelite to crack. Mine is still intact with no damage.
