I bought this guitar to save my "good" guitars from the ravages of outdoor jams..sort of a beater. To my surprise it has become one of my favorites, in every way its as nice to play as my others, sometimes I get tired of the eggroll jokes, but the sound of this soon shuts them up, trouble is I'm looking again for a beater. considering the price its as good as it gets!
Model Year: 2003
Price: $450.00 (new)
Where Obtained: on-line guitar
Features:
Made in china by/for Saga instruments, antiqued finish with dalmation pick guard, dreadnaught style guitar patterned after a D-28, fancy headstock inlays, kluson type butterbean tuners, no electrics
Playability:
Action was suitable right out of the box although I have since raised it a bit for some more volume, plays exceptionally well, a couple of minor finish flaws but the excellent playability more than makes up for it. I own two gibsons and a couple of customs and it plays as well
Sound Quality:
Sound is amazing, clear bright bass and crisp trebles, makes for nice acoustic lead work that can be heard without an excessive attack
Durability:
With just a few months playing durability remains to be seen, but I bought it to play at jams which have been in, out, night, damp and or hot and I have had no problems so far..stays in tune in all these situations
