I didn't look at any other effects at the time. I basically needed a multi-effect for recording - its' versitility made it useful as an effects box for my acoustic and classical guitars.

This unit has 6 knobs and 1 switch. The knobs cover things like
input,
output,
mix,
amount of effect,
characteristics and
effect type . The switch changes between the following banks:
*Effect
*Reverb
*Mix/SFX
This is AC powered, stereo ready and tuneless.
I use this basically either between my mixer and digital studio or in front of a PA.
This unit is good for any type of vocals, widening a stereo mix, adding low end, or delays, reverbs and chorus for stringed instruments.
This unit is fairly easy to use, except you will always be somewhat dependant upon the manual. This is because The characteristic button has 11 different options that perform different functions depending upon any of the 33 effects that are in use.
This has been in my rack for over 4 years and I have never had a problem with it. The construction is solid metal and the knobs are decent as well.
