I can't compare this to their concert guitars @ $8000 but this one is the next best thing for about half.
Model Year: 2000
Made entirely by hand in Madrid, Spain by the most famous maker of classical guitars. Master grade cedar top with Indian rosewood sides and back-all solid woods. Ebony fretboard, Spanish cedar neck with ebony insert. Hand inlaid purfling and rosette.
Action is a little higher than my previous classical but somehow easier to play in many ways. Ascending and descending slurs have never been easier.
Ramirez makes a handful of concert guitars and I've never heard one in person but this guitar is sweet and syrupy, darker tone than my previous guitar which was an Esteve. What a difference!
Classical guitars by nature require more care but Ramirez has been around since the 1800's. Appears to be built very solidly with great attention to detail.
