Overall Rating:
I purchased this guitar sight unseen and while it is a very high quality instrument that's probably worth 3 times what I paid one should always shop around and play numerous guitars. There are some construction flaws that my luthier pointed out to me but nothing that would drastically affect sound or playability.
Model Year: 2000
Price: $0.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Venemans Music Emporium
Features:
Built at Francisco Esteve's shop in Spain. All solid woods, cedar soundboard, Indian rosewood sides and back. Ebony fretboard.
Playability:
Action is a little high which is typical of classical guitars but I'm having it adjusted by a local luthier.
Sound Quality:
Very high quality sound as is to be expected of a handmade guitar of all solid woods. Made the mistake of letting it get too dry, once properly humidified it's sound mellows.
Durability:
Very well made but it's a classical and requires special care, should be humidified constantly during the winter. It has a polyurethane finish which is not the best.
