Reviewed on 1/31/03 by Tony Cook (2417) Rating: This live set from acoustic grandmaster Leo Kottke was recorded Dec. 19th and 20th in 1972. It showcases Leo blazing through many of his excellent early tunes, such as Busted Bicycle, Louise, June Bug, & Jack Fig. There's only minimal between song banter, unlike Leo Live, released in 1995. But that's okay- it just leaves more time for the music. And the sound quality is excellent for a live recording of this age. (The version I have is the 1996 CEMA rerelease). Kottke closes the song with a 3 song medley, including his excellent rendetion of Bach's Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring. In short: Leo at the top of his game.
