This is an excelent guitar for sombody wishing to upgrade beyond a begginer instrument while on a budget. The sound quality and features are well beyond it's price range, and Every guitarist that has played it has been shocked when i told him how inexpensive it was. I would definitly replace this if anything evil befell it!
Model Year: 2002

This is a very nice import from the land of china. While past imports i have owned were cheep knock-offs this guitar is a quality instrument with lots of features for it's price range. It is an acoustic/ electric with active electronics. The buit in preamp has a volume control and four band graphic eq (eq-754r) which shapes the tone gently but effictively. The preamp also contains a handy battery check LED. A single cutaway allows acsess to 19 of the twenty-two wide but flat frets. the 6 steel strings attatch to the body via the distinctive dean rosewood pin bridge, and to the headstock by way of unlocking tuners(which by the way have a very pleasent gear ratio. The finish is a transparent green which shows off the wood grain nicely.
The guitar is fun to play, as it has a small body size. This allows for easy jamming in unconventional places. the neck is also narrow (simmilar to an electric) allowing players with small hands comfort. However the flat frets and a high string tension can sometimes be fatiguing to the fret hand if prolonged barre chords are called for. For a small player this is a very nice fit but it may be cramped for a larger individual.
I took this guitar to florida and back from maine on a road trip. I played it everyday outdoors for up to 8 hrs a day, and avaraged at least two hours a day. The neck and bindings stayed perfect! The tunning was also highly stable and all the hardware is perfectrly snug and solid. This was quite impressive as when i left Maine it was 35F and 10% humidity, and arrived in florida to 90F and 90% to 100% humidity!
