This is an exceptional tuner not only because it is one of the most inexpensive tuners out in the market, but it is one of the best (better than some much more expensive tuners).
(Useful?) Note: If you hold the "sound" and press the "on/off" button, the everything on the LCD screen will light up(I think this is so you can make sure the whole screen is working). Then if you press the "sound" button again, it will turn off. Press it again and the LCD will come back on, this time blinking(I have no Idea why it does this. Maybe someone can clue me in). Press it again, the flat light comes on, again, the green light comes on. Then if you press the "flat" button, the sharp light comes on. Then if you press the "Guitar/bass" button the LCD comes up to the normal screen, playing the 1E sound. I don't know if this will be usefull to anyone, but I felt I should inform you about my discovery(I'm sure I'm not the first one to find this, but I'm the first to put it here!)
Price: $15.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Sam Ash
Features:
This tuner features Guitar and Bass tuning capabilities. It has an accurate LCD needle. It Tunes BEADGBE and up to 5 half-steps lower. With its built in speaker, it can sound the tones. There is a built in microphone and a 1" phono plug input. Takes 2 AA batteries. Comes in silver.
Durability:
I have dropped this tuner several times and so far it has suffered no ill effects. The batteries have lasted strong in the 5 months I've had it.
Addition: Just recently, in a fit of anger, I threw this tuner against a wall. The back cover broke off and the batteries flew out. I though it was totaled but it actually started working better! Ok... Maybe not better, but it still worked.
