Description This is a one of a kind custom shop model. It has Seymour Duncan Humbuckers, a Floyd Rose locking tremolo system. This guitar kicks butt.

My wife aquired this guitar for me after it was displayed at the G&L booth at the "99" namm show. I don't know what she paid for it and have never ask. Great Wife Huh. I would hate to lose this guitar. This is certainly the finest guitar that I own. (I own 7 more) I would not have this one if I didn't have a very caring wife. (I never would have spent whatever she paid for it) Because of her I get to enjoy owning a really great guitar.
Model Year: 1999
Price: $0.00 (new)
Where Obtained: ??????????
Features:
This is an american made custom shop G&L invader. I don't know if there are anymore like it. I wanted to reveiw it to let everybody know what a great guitar G&L makes. The neck is real tight grained maple full of birds eye. It has a solid mahogany body with a bookmatched spruce top finished in red stain, it has a spruce edgeband on the body. There are seymour duncan humbuckers at the neck and bridge position, a 3 way switch and a phase switch, 1 volume pot and 1 tone pot. Floyd rose locking tremolo system. This guitar is built in the old fender shop in Fullerton,Cal. Some of you old timers may remember that the old fenders had a certain sweet smell, no kiddin' this guitar smells like the old fenders.
Playability:
I can play things on this guitar that I can not play on any other. For me the neck and action are just right.
Sound Quality:
I play it through a j-station into a peavey trans tube. After adjusting the pickup height like I like them. It sounds really good for styles like Billy Gibbons etc. It will go were any les paul will tread.
Durability:
It is built like an anvil. I have adjusted the truss rod once I believe since it was new in "99"
