I looked at Martin, Gibson , Taylor, Alvirez, Gretch, Guilds and others. This is the one that had the sound I was looking for. I have found one just like it and I am thinking about buying it because the company that made them went out of buisness. Favorite aspect is sound and quality, worst{?} I haven't any complaints with guitar at this time. I coludn't have had one coustom made to fit my needs better than this American Acoustech.
Model Year: 1999
Price: $750.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Winds and String
Features:
Playability:
Have played with ,Martin, Taylor, Gibson and various other guitars. This guitar has drawn a lot of attention when I playit. The sound is deep and clear with med. strings on it.
Sound Quality:
I use a fender Acoustic 30 amp with a michrophone. Blues and blue/newgrass is my choice of music.Sound is excellant and has been complimented by guitariest playing Martins, Gibsons , Guilds and Gretch. Had thought about putting a pickup on it. No noise. I only play stage so can not compare for studio.
Durability:
I have had no problems with this guitar. When playing outdoors and the night air sets in I have very little tuning problems with it. I had it setup when I bought it and had it checked about 6mo. ago and it didn't need any adjusting. Strap locks and all other hardware holding up fine. I rate this guitar as good as any I have had the pleasure of playing with or accompaning.
