There is something for everyone, the book does not teach technique, but it has a lot of useful diagrams in both tab and music notation, that should drive the point home.

Step by step, this user-friendly handbook covers all the ingredients for cooking up great music in any genre. The menu includes music notation, tuning and intonation, rhythm, melody, harmony, ear-training, technique, and improvisationa cornucopia of musical information designed to unite the fingerboard.
Suitable for all skill levels of guitarists
