I was looking at several Ibanez, PRS, and ESP, guitars, but after going to Guitar Center and playing all of them, I decided I liked the sound and versatility of the Texas Fat Strat. From clean to mean, this guitar can make it all happen.

US made Texas Fat Strat. 22-Fret. Volume and two tone knobs - one for single coil and one for humbucker. Has two Fender noiseless single coils and Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbucker in the bridge position. (S-S-H) I opted for the 3-Tone Sunburst and it is flawless. The sepatate colors blend with each other very well at the transitions. 5 position pickup selector switch.
I'm not even tha good, and this guitar makes me sound good! Bending and vibrato almost happen automatically. Stays in tune beyond belief, even when using tremelo bar. Neck is extremely smooth and my hand glides al over the back.
I play this Fender with a Marshall MGR50CD. Great sounding amp. Between the amps clean and distortion channel and the guitars 5 position selector and perfect combination of single coild and humbucker, creating almost any sound is possible. Sustain is great. Sort of noisy at the single coil positions, but this is expected and gets drowned out while playing.
Have only had for about 3 weeks now, but guitar feels extremely solid. Have only had to tune it two or three times (even after extreme bending and whammy bar action). I will rate a 5 because of the Fender name, my past experience with Fenders, and the solidness of this guitar.
