For the price, you can't beat it if you're a Hendrix nut. I don't have the cash for a Roger Mayer Octavia or a Boss PS-5 plus my playing ability doesn't really warrant spending major coin. The FX66 is Hendrix on a budget!
Model Year: 2001
Price: $39.95 (new)
Where Obtained: Marsmusic.com
Features:
Housed in a psychedelically-painted all-metal chassis, four rotary controls line the upper face of the pedal: Volume (overall volume level), Low (low frequency), Tone (high frequency) and Fuzz (amount of fuzz). 9V or AC Adapter powered.
Sound Quality:
I basically use this pedal with my cheap Strat copy to play Hendrix tunes. It is more than ample for this purpose! I use it with a Dunlop Crybaby and run it through a 150W Crate amp. My other guitars sound great with it too. It's fun to say the least and this pedal just adds to it.
Ease of Use:
Easy to set/find the sound you want. Comes with easy to follow manual.
Durability:
Oh, it will hurt you if it hits you. Durable to say the least!!!
