I'm a lefty, so less to shop for. nicer finish and sound than anything else for the buck. don't know how much i would have to spend to step up to a solid top. this thing is mass produced in asia but is quite handsome so you wouldn't guess. ie doesn't look cheesy. sounds good to me too. BUT - a few days after i got it home the pickguard started slipping, reavealing the glue underneath. The shop was fantastic about getting the warranty work done quickly. They had the guard pulled off and the guitar cleaned. they didn't have another lefty guard in stock and i wanted it back so i just took it with no guard. looks great. i only fingerpick now so if i ever need a guard i guess i'll stick it on. Also, when it was being serviced they offered me a replacement. i took the other one home but it didn't feel the same so i took it back.
Price: $420.00 AusD (new)
Where Obtained: Shop in Melbourne
Features:
Natural finish - the top is obviously made from 2 pieces of wood but that appeals. The top is not solid but looks like maple, mahogany sides.
Playability:
I can't really compare to other guitars - I'm a beginner and this is my first. I think it has a relatively thin neck. Pretty playable i guess.
Sound Quality:
Sounds great to me, and i've had many compliments, but again no frame of reference as i'm a beginner. better than anything else in the shop for the price. compared with a fender, sx, and martinez (slightly cheaper)
Durability:
Seems to stay in tune indefinitely so far, knocks and all. i'm pretty kind to it.
