I defy you to find a better guitar for under $300
Model Year: 2001
Price: $212.00 (new)
This guitar features a solid cedar top, laminated Canadian Wild Cherry sides and back, chrome tuners, and a satin finish. It's made by the same folks who make Seagull guitars
This is one of the most playable guitars you'll find anywhere, and beats the snot out of anything in the under $300 price range. The neck is fast and the action is lower than any other guitar I own, and I set my action LOW.
Given the price, it's hard to find anything to challenge the sound of the S6 Folk. It leans to the bright side -perhaps because of the cedar top. The sound is not complex, but is still very sweet.
My S6 Folk is too new to judge on durability, but the S&P reputation is solid, and the the guitar has stood up to the worst I've thrown at it so far. The satin finish concerns me, but so far, so good.
