There are nine tracks on this disc, seven of which are original tunes. The disc grooves from start to finish, with three percussionists (including Leon Parker). There's a good mix of uptempo numbers (Nothin' but Trouble) and slower stuff (Al Green). There's only one solo piece, Someday, We'll All Be Free. Also thrown in is a cover of Thelonious Monk's Epistrophy.
Charlie Hunter isn't breaking a lot of new ground, but he is writing and recording good music. Not a bad song on this one.
