(1991) Elektra

Description One of best albums recorded/released in 90's. Very powerful progressive rock songs, like "Under a A Glass Moon" interpolated with very beautiful moments like "Another Day", which has a great melodie, and a sax arrangement by Jay Beckestein (Spyro Gyra).

John Petrucci proves his worthiness on this album. What a fantastically made album it is!! I absolutely love the keyboards, they really add a lot to the band. Just go out and buy this record, you won't regret it.

This is first DT record with James LaBrie on vocals, and, believe me, it makes a big difference. One of the things that I most like in this record is song structures. I believe since Yes nobody made progressive things like this. I truly believe DT is "90's YES". Cool melodic moments and too much intrincated parts, odd times and too much good sense. And, John Petrucci is the best "new" guitar hero. Listen to "Under A Glass Moon" and you'll know what I mean.
