I looked at many other guitars(jacksons, schechters, etc.) And in my opinion this guitar best suited my playing and price range. I love having 24 frets.

Where Obtained: Sam Ash
Made in the US with 6 strings and 24 frets. 1 volume to tone controls. Two humbucker pickups. Floyd rose
Plays very well for any type of music.
I use a digitech valve fx and play a lot of metal, megadeth/metallica type stuff, into my peavey studio 60 and it sounds great. Handles very well in high gain settings.
I love this guitar, if i was looking for another i would probably go with the Kirk Hammet edition, just for the pickups.
Model Year: 1999
Price: $400.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Action Sound
U.S. made, Bolt on 25.5" maple neck. 6-string, 24 jumbo frets. One volume and one tone pot. Uses an ESP LB-100 humbucker at the bridge, and a LN-100 at the neck. Black finish, double cutaway, Floyd-Rose licensed tremolo, locking nut.
I really love this guitar for its tone, playability, and ease of use.
My preffered action is VERY loose, i play lead in a alternative rock band, and in a jazz band. This guitar has all the features to adapt to my action. it has no flaws
Amazing lead tone. Lots of sustain. I use it on all of my soloing and it really packs a punch on any 80's metal solo. Very clean, bright tones. I had to set the pickups with a screwdriver.
This is the most rugged guitar i have ever bought. It has endured countless jams and gigs. Temperature changes really dont affect tuning that much, thanks to the Floyd-Rose
