The Folk is a splendid sounding and playing guitar that stands out in the price range. It's hard to imagine a better deal.

This 000 sized guitar doesn't sport a lot of features; a solid cedar top, a laminated cherry wood body, white binding, and a rosewood fretboard with a 1 3/4" nut. The tuners are chrome and work quite well.
I had to lower the action, but that was easily accomplished by shaving the saddle. Now the guitar plays like a dream.
If I didn't know that the guitar has a laminated body, I'd swear that it was solid wood. It sounds loud and clear with crisp treble, solid bass, and even tones across the fretboard.
I bought this guitar used and it has seen quite a bit of use, but has held up very well. The only caveat is that the cedar top is easily scratched - especially with a satin finish.
