Overall Rating:
When I went to purchase this guitar I picked a local supplier who stocked a very good range of guitars and I tried out most of them. Some of the contenders were over 1,000 however I felt that the Epiphone Gibson was pretty nearly indistinguishable in sound and build quality from these other makes and that was what convinced me.
Model Year: 2001
Where Obtained: Blue Note Music Aberdeen Scotland
Features:
Jumbo model made in Korea with rosewood fretboard. 6 string 20 brass fret model. The finish is gloss black on the body and neck back with natural finish on the fretboard and bridge.
Playability:
Good action, neck not too narrow and more mellow fuller note than others in the price range.
Sound Quality:
Acoustic model good for tab and rythm sessions with a good rounded sound that rings well and holds its pitch. Compared to other guitars I have played I would say that this model punches well above its weight based upon purchase price.
Durability:
Very stable guitar, stays in tune through varying temperatures and needs little adjustment.
