Rating: I've always liked the standard EJ16 lights. I like these strings better simply because I get the same sound but without having to restring every 2 weeks. These strings easily last me 1 to 1- 1/2 months before having to change them. |

Price: $11 (new)
Where Obtained: Sam Ash Music

Features:
These light strings are comporable to D'Addario's EJ16 Lights. But the phosphor-bronze wire is coated before being wrapped around the hex core. The diameters range from .012 inches to .053 inches. The coating gives the strings a lifespan 3-4 times longer than the EJ16s.

Sound Quality:
I play these on a Yamaha APX4A. Amplification is with either a big Peavey PA or a Fender Acoustasonic Jr. I strum, play finger-style, and pick arperggios, the whole gamut. These strings respond well for all these situations. |
|
Durability:
With 3-8 hours use per week, they keep their new sound for about four weeks. As long as six weeks if my playing is down around 3-4 hours per week.
I put 'em on, stretch 'em real good, tune 'em up, and they stay that way. |
