Aria Pro II THE CAT

Electric 6-String Guitar

Made by Aria Pro II

Description 1986 model. Black, Strat style. Fell in love with the body shape, pick-ups were okay, I removed the center single coil, replaced the humbucker with a George Lynch Screamin' Demon.

I looked at Carvin, Kramers, Ibanez, and BC Rich. I picked this one because of the shape of the body and the it sounded pretty good.
Model Year: 1986
Price: $350.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Mecca Music- Green Bay, WI
Features:
Made in Japan, I beleive. Maple neck with a Rosewood fretboard. Has 21 frets, volume and tone controls...S/S/H in original condition...currently S/H, the original humbucker has been replaced witha George Lynch Screamin' Demon... Strat type body style w/Floyd Rose Tremolo - Schaler tuners
Playability:
Bought the guitar because it was all i could afford at the time, An Ibanez was $700 at the time. It plays okay for what I do, but I have played others and they play much better.
Sound Quality:
I use a Ctate G-60 circa 1986. No effects used. I play 80's metal (Dokken, Tesla, etc) and guitar sounds OK. Sound is kinda weak but okay. Compared to Jackson's I played, this guitar sucks. I am considering a new neck, but I think I could pick up a new instrument for cheaper.
