Very good ax for the price paid! I paid more for my fender squire strat and it can't hold a candle to my Les Paul Samick. It also plays better than my '70s replica strat that I purchased earlier this year. I bought it brand new for $265 (they were asking 300.00) and felt like I got a steal.

This guitar actually plays better than my '70s replica Strat! It is a JOY to play and makes you think the cliche "it almost plays by itself" is as real as it gets. Am beginning to explore jazz (from 15+ yrs in blues) and bought this one because of that. It is also light as a feather compared to my two strats (and compared to a Les Paul custom which felt the weight of two guitars put together), so it doesn't tire you out.
I currently use a Peavey practice amp with a Boss CS-3 Compression/Sustainer and a Boss RV-3 Digital Reverb and Delay. I bought it to mainly explore jazz. In terms of sound, it is able to sound from bright to warm and full, I haven't noticed any inability to produce real good sound, especially for the price I paid!
