This is one of the first Coldplay releases on their new label, Parlophone. I don't know why they ditched Capitol, possibly because of artistic reasons. This single is a COMPLETE Coldplay single. Although it doesn't show any pictures of the band (it was made in France), the front photo (and really the only photo) which is lefless branches in all directions, captures the Coldplay essence and signifies what they stand for perfectly well. The single songs were co produced by the band themselves, and the lyrics were also written by the entire band.
2. For You
3. Careful Where You Stand
The two songs after Shiver aren't on any album, and are great. For You sounds like it should have ended up on Parachutes, and Careful Where You Stand is a great Coldplay song that differs from that sound but nonetheless, well, Coldplay. Echo electric guitars, an accuistic guitar overlapping it, and a classical piano once in a while is the perfect formula that becomes Coldplay in the studio. This single is for any of COldplay's fans and should serve them over for a while until their next release, or until they buy another import.
