I will echo everything said about this product. It actually makes learning the fretboard fun. With the many options and features, you can change things around to keep from getting bored. It has made a world of difference in my confidence as a player. I don't yet have it mastered, but I am much better at locating root note postions, chord construction etc. This product will help give direction to a lot of guitar related theory. This is one of my top 2 or 3 investments in guitar instruction. You have nothing to loose by trying the free demo.

The AFT program provides an affective means to aid learning - far better than flash cards. The set up of the program also allows you to improve your ear and read note positions on the stave. AFTpro also caters for the bass guitar 4,5 or6 strings.

The excersises are backed up by a map of the fret board which changes from red to green, through various shades of orange and yellow, as you learn the note positions....COOL. You can instantly see your progress but more importantly see where you need to practice. It's also tempted me into getting a bass!!!

The pro version of Absolute Fretboard (a 1 person liscense for 1 pc) costs 13. This does seem a tad expensive, but when you think what you are actually getting is a complete mastery of the fret board for the cost of a couple of sets of strings, how much would you pay for this ability? There's also a demo version that covers the first 5 frets. Check it out!

Great resource! Mark pretty much said it all, but I'd like to second his endorsement. Definitely worth your time to take a look!

It has been fun although I am only familiarizing my self with your site. So far so good, I do think I am going to sign up for some lessons as soon as I can determine what level I should stick to.
