Fender Squier Mini Strat

Electric 6-String Guitar

Made by Fender

Description A scaled down version of the Squire Affinity Strat. A really nice guitar for young children to start out on without too much damage to their parent's wallet.

Overall Rating:
A super kid's guitar that isn't a toy.
Model Year: 2001
Price: $99.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Music Store
Features:
Exactly as the name implies this is a little bitty stratocaster. A 20 fret, 22.7' scale neck. Three single coil pickups. It's missing the whammy bar that all of the "bigger" guitars have.
Playability:
Nice soft action and narrower neck make it easy for the little guys to enjoy learning to play. My seven year old loved it! It isn't going to play like a top of the line stratocaster, but it's also clear that this is a real guitar and not a toy.
Sound Quality:
For the money this sounds great. There isn't much to compare it to in it's price range, but it sounded as good as the squire stratocaster.
Durability:
It's stood up to my seven year old! I had to look at several of them before I found one that didn't have finish flaws that even my kid thought obnoxious, but everything else checked out great.
