I haven't really looked at any other guitars and maybe I might buy another but not at the current moment. The only way it can be better is if I can find a way to remove the little scuff mark that it has. There is nothing really to complain. At least nothing serious. My favorite detail of the guitar is the strings and the fact that it's not heavy or anything of that sort.
Playability:
It is a 6 string not heavy at all and there is no problem with the neck at all I can adjust to it very well
Sound Quality:
The string it had before where a bit old so it wasn't sounding too good at first but now that I just added new strings it sound alot better.
Durability:
As I mentioned it has been with my family for just a few years. It is light and easy to use.The string are not hard but not loose at the same time.Just perfect. It has an adjustable strap behind it so I can put it over myself which I find alot easier for me to practice.

I looked at every guitar in the store and chose the Applause because of looks, price and of course the way it sounded and felt. i like this guitar a lot. my favorite aspect of this guitar is the cut away neck which is why i wanted a different guitar in the first place

Ovation is made in Bloomfield CT, a 6 string accoustic with great sound and excellent fret action. the body is cut away for easier playing on the higher frets {15 - 24}. the weight is very light and seems to be smaller than a classical guitar {body}.
Playability:
The Applause is very easy to play and doesn't weigh too much i can get most any sound i need to get from it, {blues, rock, country} the neck is a little bit thinner than normal. good if you have smaller hands. a well made guitar, only problem i have had with it is a buzz on the low E string, but i think that could just be my playing
Durability:
I have had the applause for 3 months now, and play it every day for extended periods of time and it hasn't lost its tuning yet exept when I change strings, i can play light or bang away on it and it hold up very well. a good light weight sturdy guitar
