Overall Rating:
This is a very unique instrument and gives me the capability of playing a new instrument without having to learn how to play it (since I allready play the guitar)
Model Year: 2001
Price: $720.00 (new)
Where Obtained: A Major Music Store, Richmond, Va.
Features:
The Bajitar was made in Tutesville Fla. by a small company named Gold Tone. The banjitar is well made out of solid maple. It also comes standard with an electric pickup. The back of the resenator is flame maple and the neck is maple, it has standard closed tuners and seems to stay in tune very well. It is quite heavy and the craftsmanship is excellent.
Playability:
I am still getting used to playing this rascal, but it plays like a standard guitar, it is very loud, even without using the pickup, and it has great tone. It has a rosewood fretboard and it very easy to play
Sound Quality:
The tone is great on this unit
Durability:
As I stated before, it is a very heavy instrument and seems to be quite durable, it comes with a lifetime warrenty, but it is still new and to early to tell
