Overall Rating:
Fender made a lot of great Guitars in the sim hollow line in the 60s and early 70s .while it carries the DeArmond name its still a fender to me if you want a great looking ,sounding with expensive feel but middle of the road price this may be it
Model Year: 2001
Price: $269.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Musicians Friend
Features:
Made over seas with USA made DeArmond 2K-pick-ups,a ste neck with vibro tailpiece carved maple top matched too a gathis body that is chambered to give a sweet sound that reminds me of the old Fender semi hollow bodys
Playability:
Since I play a lot of arch tops I find this a little heavy in the waight Dept, but one you get used to it the necks feel and contour and the bite of the pic-up make worth it.I like it as much as my Casio(EPI) and my LesPaul (Epi) Like I said the only draw back is its a little heavy but is a solid guitar
Sound Quality:
The DeArmond 2K single coil pick-ups give it more bite than a junkyard dog , I use it for all types of music ,but mostly Metal and jazz since I play fusion it gets used for a little of everything
Durability:
With the waight it carries i think you could really knock someone out,it seems to be pretty solid and I can't see anything fragle. peforms well all around
