This is the first disc by the band, recorded in 1995.It's a phenomenal album from beginning to end. With all of the music recorded "live" in the studio and vocals being dubbed in afterward, the disc has a real spontaneous feel to it.That's a plus, because this is where the band tends to shine the most. All three members are accomplished players who can play the Hell outta' their instruments.Their live shows are the stuff of legend. From the opening "a capella" version of Son House' "Grinnin' in Your Face" to the Leslie soaked guitar of "World of Difference" you'll experience about an hour of some of the finest music to be made in years.Heavy in the sort of way that Humble Pie,"Duane Era" Allmans, and Cream were, the band fuses hard rock, blues and jazz seamlessly.Haynes' lead and slide work is destined to become classic.I've had this disc for over 6 years now,and it still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up every time I listen to it-it's that good!
