These are the first studio recordings of Otis Rush from 1956-58 while he was at Cobra Records.Rush's classic "I Can't Quit You Baby " reached the top 10 on the national R&B charts, and later was covered by Led Zeppelin. His playing has been copied countless times by guitarists the world over, and players like Clapton and Page credit him as a major influence.Produced by Willie Dixon, and backed by future greats like Little Walter and Ike Turner, this disc is a pure classic. This disc contains the original 16 recordings he did for Cobra, plus 4 alternate takes. The first versions of "Double Trouble" and "All Your Love" are among the tracks included.
