This pedal is just the best overdriver I've ever seen in my whole live. I you are looking for some distorsor and you play rock music, get this!
Model Year: 2002
Price: $85.00 (new)
Features:
This pedal has the on/off switch wich is very easy to use when you are passing from clean to distorted, six controls (Volume, Gain, Bass, Deep, Treble and Mid). It is both AC powered and battery power.
Sound Quality:
For this pedal I used my Orange Crush 15, and my guitar is a Squier Strat. With this guitar it sounded just great, but I tried with my friend's guitar (homemade, but its sound is like a Stratocaster), and it sounded, you know, heavy. Now, don't start laughing, or crying, it is the best desription I can give. This pedal is very versatile, it can play blues, rock, hard rock, and even heavy metal, even though it sounds a bit weird with some settings, but it takes just one minute to play a little with it and getting that sound.
Ease of Use:
First thing I did after getting this pedal was to open the booklet (thing I rarely do) and I immediately found some prefab settings: Fat Blues, Crunch, Hardcore/Grunge and Screaming Solo, wich are very good, I have to admit, but after a while I wanted to find just the right setting, so, after three days if fiddling with the controls, I found just the right sound I needed. So, the only lack this pedal has is the patience you need to have to find the sound you are confortable with.
Durability:
This is the most durable pedal I have ever seen. If you climbed the Empire State Building and dropped it from there it wouldn't have a scratch. Probably the fastest way to break it would to put it in a desert island and drop a bomb on it, hust like the americans did an the Bikini island in 1953. Trust me, this thing is harer than adamantium (from X-Men, remamber?)

Its a great pedal, especially for the price I paid. Don't get it confused with the later . If you see it , Snap it up, as they have been discontinued.

A Reasonalble Marshall tone with my 30watt Solid state. Amazing when put into a marshall stack!(my Friend has the stack). Suited for most music when distortion is needed. Not so good for Heavy metal.Great for punk, Blues and hard rock.
Ease of Use:
It takes a while to get a goos sound.
Durability:
Good casing. Reasuringly Heavy. Pretty solid i'd say, but time will tell.
